How do I know what is wrong with my gp2x usb?
I only have usb2-stuff on my computers and if I plug my gp2x in (with my own cable which is definitly
alright) I get no reaction. It doesn't matter which os I boot (debian/ubuntu/XP).
How do I know if it's a compatibility issue or the usbthingy is defective?

Tutorial at http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/Main_Page (my summary)

Make sure all the cables are attached before turning on the gp2x.

Go into tools/ usb

sit there and wait 10 seconds.

If windows doesn't do anything, right click on my computer, hardware, device manager, and look under USB stuff, there should be a yellow icon usb-mass-storage device (indicating a problem), right click on it, and uninstall it. Turn off the gp2x, turn it back on, and windows should try to re-add it again. I had to try 3 times before my crappy laptop added it correctly.

There is also a usb tool on archive.gp2x.de somewhere, that is supposed to help windows with USB stuff. Didn't really understand it myself.

Win98 Help!
Also, if you are running windows 98, install the windows service pack unofficial, version 1.6 something

Version 1.6 has usb mass storage device drivers that work with most of my usb stuff, haven't tried it with the gp2x yet, as I don't have 98 anymore.
