They're named Alian and Hatenkou. You can get the source for Alian at http://fweb.midi.co.jp/~kakusan/limeDL/lim...e=ALIAN_SRC.LZH and the source for Hatenkou is at http://fweb.midi.co.jp/~kakusan/limeDL/lim...ATENKOU_SRC.LZH.

Like we have said before, it's quite difficult to port games written in assembler for a completely different processor, and those look like they are written in 68000 to me.

Well, at least it isn't impossible.

Squidge: You're almost right, they're for the x68000, not the 68000.

I thought the X68000 was a computer based on a 68000 cpu ?

Either way, I quickly looked at the code, and it looked like 68000 assembly to me, hence the answer :)

Maybe a project for someone trying to do a single-game emu or some such, then? I.e. re-write all the stuff that uses custom chips with GP32 code to do the same (presumably a very long job, considering the number of custom chips in the X68000, but possibly not impossible), and then use a Cyclone core to run the rest of it.

I suspect, however, it would need someone to be especially devoted to the porting/semi-emulating of the games, simply because I can't imagine it being an easy task to completely remove all usage of a custom chip, let alone write an interface between the X68k assembler and the Cyclone core.

I imagine that'd be how to go about it, but I can't see anyone taking it on in either the near or distant future, I'm afraid...
