I'm thinking about buying a transend 4GB card and I'm wondering is it worth it? Do they work in the readers or would I be better off buying 4x1GB cards or 2x2GB as I've got all the ems and a lot of the games and hate swopping cards all the time.

Thanks for the advice

Sorry can't help. I'll get my adata 4gb in a few days. I can advise you about that if you like.

Bigger is best, have you tried Newegg.com? (if you live in the US)

$114 with $30 rebate for Transcend 4GB card

Other SD cards 4GB, $86.99 and up.

I know a lot of the people here are in England/Europe, do you have a store with good deals like Newegg.com?

I would like to be able to help people find a reputable online store with competitive prices for those not in the US, newegg.com is huge and they have good prices, but not international shipping.

Is your Transcend card priced like these? Assuming conversion to £42 of course.

Spelling? "Transcend" and "swapping", it makes it hard to search for a transcend card on the forums if it isn't spelled right.

I do know that the Transcend line are quality cards...abeit somewhat slow (that standard models). But, I do swear by them. I own quite a few 1 and 2GB cards.

I have an ADATA 150x 4gb. I don't have a working card reader yet, so I can't tell you if it formats fully, but while in the GP2x it only formats to 1GB. I doubt that it won't fully format in a standard card reader though. I don't think any large card formats all the way the with the GP2X as a card reader.

I have the transcend 4gb 150x from newegg. It works like a charm, and updates the firmware too. Its blazing fast, and holds so much. Ive got the complete mame on it, 7cd's worth of music (all at 192kb/sec mp3) 2 complete DDR games for step2x, every beat2x pack, about 100 random other roms, and a ton of other stuff. All for $97 with the rebate (does newegg still have the rebate?). I suggest you buy one, its amazing and holds so much.

I also bought it from newegg. I haven't even loaded 1gb of files on it yet, but so far it's performing great. I've got emulators and videos on it, and all are working fine.
