These Handy Movie Format

i seriously doubt it would be worth coding it. Besides, most quality movie clips are in a format that can be converted into divx 4.12

this would be definetely better than divx 4.12 ! ;)
my friend who has a n-gage gave me a movie in this format : SCARFACE

2hours and 45minutes are 92 mb

This is really sick .
when it is possible you can put 2 movies on one 128 smc :)

The sample movie on that site although it had no sound was 150k.
cool

.3gp video is realy bad quality. It may be fine for short clips/simple face conversation, but for watching a film it's really, REALLY awful.

yeah on pc it is awful but i guess not on the gp32 beause it have this encoder chip for mpeg4 + lcd screen

my divx 4.12 vids are really bad too when i watch them on my pc but when i'm lookin them on the gp they are really impressive ;)

When I say bad, I really mean bad. .3gp is not designed for watching clips any longer than about 30 seconds. Longer than that and the quality degrades even more. DivX and XviD are perfect for the time being.

also have you seen the ngage screen, its teeny tiny, and movies on it are only in the center so they're even smaller. then compare that to the GP32s' glorius fullscreen 320*240 itsw a LARGE difference.

checked the web the ngage rez is 176 X 132, the gp32 is almost double.

when divx is such a good format can please someone post settigns for a 2.45h video that can fit on a 128 smc ;) ?
thanx in advance
You can't without sacrificing quality. And a .3gp-quality movie would be completely unwatchable. Thing it would not so much be a movie as a string of images, as .3gp can rarely get up a framerate of more than 10. And that's with a low motion scene. And the artefacting is terrible if the motion gets too fast. And would you really want to listen to a movie with only phone-quality sound.
