My question about FMAME if it is released for the GP32 is this.

it is rumored to play games 1990 and lower. What clockspeed do you think it would be able to run w/sound fine at? If overclocking to 156 or 166mhz would that mean we could play games over 1990 or is it hardware limitations after that.

I guess this is geared more towards coders and developers since I don't know what makes up an Arcade machine from the inside. All i know is that most arcade games in the early 90's weren't that much more graphical than most SNES and MegaDrive games.

Basically this will be the deciding factor to voltage mod my GP32 if mhz is going to be a factor in playing games post 1990.

I think games past 1990 will use different chips / hardware that the Emulator will not have coded into it.

The only person/people that could possibly tell you this is Rlyeh, His beta testers (if there any) or someone that can predict the future. One emulator is not the same as another from different sources (not source code). So, Until it is tested on real hardware, on one really knows.
