The Hunt For The Ultimate Sd Price

SD and SDHC Cards are the same physical size, yes. (And there's no real reason for the Pandora to accept one without the other. :p)

This question might have been asked already but is SDHC the same physical size as SD? Do the pandora slots also accept SD cards? I know SDHC are those above 4gb, but I was wondering to physical size and compatibility.
SD and SDHC cards are the same size, which can cause problems for older equipment.
Not sure about the future "SDXC" cards that will be coming out (not sure when) but I believe they'll be the same size as well.

Things that accept SDHC cards will take standard SD cards :)

Edit: Beaten to it! :)

SD and SDHC cards are identical in size, however only machines capable of supporting SDHC cards can use them. These machines can also use standard SD cards too.

I just bought a 16Gb card from play for £17.99 - http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/10537723/PNY-16GB-Optima-High-Speed-SD-HC-Card-Endorsed-By-National-Geographic/Product.html
does play.com ship worldwide?
I answered that way way back on page two of this very thread (amusingly enough, it was in response to a post of yours, even ;) ). To quote;

Play don't ship electronics or gadgets to countries outside of the UK - I tried to order from Play yesterday to get it sent to the Netherlands and failed.

You're friend got scammed once. That's unfortunate. However many people have spent many happy a year buying and selling on ebay. To say it's full of scams is a little unfair.

It's totally awesome if you've having a massive house clear out, too!

I've personally had more bad experiences with eBay than good and I stopped using it some time ago when I found that half the things I was looking for were more expensive second hand, than new from the shops! I think people just "assumed" that eBay would be cheaper and just bid now anyway without even checking how much what they are buying is really worth at retail.

That PNY 16GB card looks like a bargain though. Oh, and registering my interest in getting a Pandora :)

Always check a seller's feedback before buying on eBay. I usually only buy if the seller has a large history of selling and 99-100% positive feedback. You're entering scam city if you plan to buy electronics on eBay, but for everything else it's quite safe if you check the seller's history.

But I definitely advise not to buy SD cards on eBay. Wait until the Pandora is finally shipping, do your research, and then get one from newegg or something.

Just seen 32 Gb sd class 10 cards wonder how much they will be ?

I rarely bid on e-bay.

I usually only view the 'buy it now' items. That's where the bargains are to be had - *especially* in the world of electronics. But yea, steer clear of SD cards on ebay!

The author of that article doesn't seem to know much about the class system!

this is where SanDisk's speed claims get confusing. That "class 10" logo is supposed to be a standard means of identify the card's speed as rated by the SD Association. Yet SanDisk claims a max read/write speed of 30MBps whereas Panasonic claims a max of just 22MBps.

i just took the gamble and bought 2 SD cards on ebay.
one adata of 16gb(i think genuine), and one LENXS 32GB card(guess it will be fake). never heard of LENXS before and cant find it on google so...

I bought myself two of these, and had no problems so far ($77 USD for a class 6 32GB card):

adata is genuine, but maby the guy on ebay has just put a sticker on it of adata. although i dont think so.

I really hope the other SD card will work fine. Even when its fake, sd cards can work pretty good. you just dont have insurance that it keeps working.

I have a fake card in my psp, and it works fine, never has any sort of problem with it.

EDIT: lol the seller of the 32gb card i bought claims its genuine.

@borgqueenx - Knowing that almost all pieces of flash media on eBay are fake and have had their controllers altered to lie about their capacity, I'm afraid that it sounds to me as though you've opted to simply throw money away, despite there being plenty of genuine and low-cost alternatives listed in this thread. :/

I would be very interested to see your results from H2testw for these cards. I just hope that you didn't pay too much...
