That 'pandora alternatives' thread is missing in the depths now, was going to add this there

some bloke left new iPhone in a pub, now it's all been exposed

pics and specs
http://m.gizmodo.com/site?sid=gizmodoip&pid=JuicerHub&targetUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fgizmodo.com%2F5520164%2Fthis-is-apples-next-iphone%3Fop%3Dpost%26refId%3D5520164

I see that's gone to mobile version as i cut paste from phone but should still see it or just check their front page

I'm not saying it even compares to pandora, we know it's a dif device for dif purposes, but in case some were interested in knowing about it in more detail then was out already

Yeah on that level I agree, but I'd have already been on the blower to the big boss telling them I was mugged, then being in America, he could probably sue them if they fire him for that, and be quids in

Whoever had it probably wasn't supposed to take it off Apple grounds in the first place. Firing is a given, but he/she could even end up in court over breach of NDA.

I really doubt this was a deliberate stunt.

Now, if only there was a way to see what sort of applications processor is in it... A4 is pretty likely.

It's Apple. Of course it's deliberate. Suffice to say, I want one... but my upgrade-on-ice will probably be used to get one for t'other half.

The discussion around the ol' watering hole here at the office tends to think it's a hoax. Much more angular than anything else Apple has come up with in the past, sharp creases, and more obvious screws than previous.
Or it could just be an early prototype.

And look, it has already reached half the internet. Looks like a deliberate marketing attempt from Apple's side.
I mean, seriously.
Who is so dumb as to take a "prototype" of a product and just happen to take it out of your pocket at a bar and forget it there?
And now everyone is going to go all fanboying and antipicating and blogging about it for the next few weeks. Bleh <_<

Sigh... The whole Internet is collapsing because of some prototype phone. This makes me very sad. Even "serious" newspapers and websites write about this crap, just so they can get some more views. What happened to the world? Ugh!

Everybody be quick and hop on the Apple guerrilla-marketing train!! ChOO chOOooOOooOOoo!!

Good marketing I think!
A4 @ 1ghz?
I might get one... (I GOT MY N900 YESTERDAY!)

Even if it wasnt lost on purpose Apple can just turn around and say it's a prototype and isnt a final production model. Their next one will probably end up with even more bells and whistles.

But yeah I'm pretty sure someone lost a job for this, they also are probably stuck in a company contract that keeps them from finding a job in a similar company for 2 years assuming they're not getting sued. The suing isnt that likely unless it was supposed to be kept in house because companies this large have plenty of other ways of taking it out on their employees that we'd never even find out about.

Of corse it was deliberate, how many people here takes there phone out of there pocket and puts it on the pubs counter or table when there drinking, no one that’s who
That or he is the second dummies employee in apple, the firs was a guy in china who lost a iphone and killed him self, I supposed it makes him the dummies living employee in apple

Are you an idiot? Apple is the most secretive company in the industry!

Jobs is pulling major hair out that he couldn't show this for the first time in June.

Nova's right, there's no way this was planned. I don't know how some of you can say 'This is Apple we're talking about' etc. when you think of how much of a complex finding it really is.
I wonder what the keynote will be like without the suspense, they'll probably just slap some specs up on a screen :).

They're gonna have to come up with something new to get excited about, probably on the software side. Like "OMG look, it's got a built in Snake game!"

I feel very sorry for Grey Powell. Losing a prototype iPhone is something I would definitely do.
