I wrote some code which sent some output to the standard output using cout however all i get is a blank screen when i run the code from the menu... does it not have the concept of a console ?
okay i see, that makes sense... yeah i agree or else debugging is going to be a bit of a nightmare if i cant get any output ... though in the past i would normally output to a file as well.
you can use 'sterm' to output to the screen rather than the serial port, or gfoot's kernel module to output via usb, or, like you say, you can output to a file.
You'll need to run sync after your program if you output to file, or you'll end up with an empty file. Or it seems that reading the output in the ebook reader on the gp2x is another answer.
cool all this is really handy for debugging , what i want to do though is display text to the screen to write a better ebook reader. I am used to c++ etc in windows so excuse my dumb questions.
Does the gp2x have any form of console or do i have to write the whole thing myself, using SDL and TTF fonts was talked about in another thread but before i do anything like that i would like something quick and dirty to be able to view the text..
hope you see where i am going and any suggestions would be useful.
