whoopsy, can anyone tell me how to get these red vs blue shorts to work with virtualdub, im sure this is super-noob question but any help would be greatly appreciated :D

when i try to open the file on virtualdub i get the message

"couldn't locate decompressor for format 'DX50' (unknown)
virtualdub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codecto decompress video. DierctShow codecs, such as those used by windos media player, are not suitable."

it(ll be hard to convert 'coz GP32 needs DiVX 4.12 but your source video file needs DiVX 5.xx....
The best (I think) is to first install the divx5xx codec then to extract the whole file to another codec (3ivx....MPEG4....the choice is yours) then to reinstall 4.12 so you'll be able to convert the file made using MPEG4...to '.12
I hope this will help you (This is how Im doing)
see you ;)

Why not install both codecs, you can have both on with a certain version (Just let me check that and Ill be back)

;o)

well ive D/L the right codec (i hope :p ) how do i extract the file to another codec?

thanx for the help so far

im nearly there :D
