Hi all,
So here is my current situation: I am currently on a boat in the middle of the north sea. We are supposed to have internet connections in our rooms but in order to use them, we must configure our systems to use a proxy server. I have already set Firefox to use this proxy manually but it is still not loading any websites.
I suspect that the issue is that I need to configure a global proxy setting on the openpandora but cannot seem to find an easy way to do this. I have also tried exporting the proxy settings using the following command to no effect:
export http_proxy=http://10.100.1.3:8081
I should also note that I am using a usb to ethernet connector to connet to the wired internet in the room. I don't think this is the issue since the connector worked with my CENTOS system back home but cannot say for sure since I forgot to test it on the pandora itself.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
