Didn't want to clutter up general with this and tbh most of you guys are the scene hardcore anyway so it's your opinions that matter to me.
I was, in fact still am considering buying a GP2x. The only trouble is with a new baby and the fact that some c*&t tried to nick my motorbike just before xmas doing a few hundred quids worth of damage I can't spend money just because I fancy a GP2x.
One reason I wanted a GP2x was the PMP aspect but having picked up a bargain clie TH55 on ebay for a mere 85 quid that satisfies my PMP needs.
I am therefore considering skipping a generation and not buying the GP2x but waiting to see what comes next from GPH or AN Other (Ninja perhaps) if the scene swings that way.
As much as the GP2x excites me (purely from a geek point of view Sam) I have yet to see a compelling reason to buy one. TBH the GP2x specs always were a little less than I'd hoped for. For one thing the Amiga may be still too much for the GP2x to emulate properly. Of course if SNES and PS1 emulation get much better or some awesome homebrew appears then I may be justified in getting one.
A question for those of you with GP32s is the GP2x that much better or do you still find yourself using the GP32 a lot or if you don't use the GP32 is the reason you use the GP2x purely because it's new and different?
Finally am I alone in my view of possibly hanging on to the GP32 and waiting for the GP2x sucessor?
