Savegames In Mame?

Anything's possible - when you dream

You're not the first to ask for this, you shant be the last.

I can see why people want this, but I for one don't. I think not having it introduces a "forced" arcade experience, making finishing games somewhat trickier. Generally I've found that most games are "playable" rather than "challenging", and as such prefer that if I want to finish a game I've got to dedicate some decent time to it.

One thing I would like to see is a "total credits used" setting, so that you can see how much "money" you've managed to waste away on a game ;-)

lol, I like that idea.

Savegames in MAME would generally be a bad idea, but this is a portable. It's the same reason they had to add a quicksave feature in Dragon Warrior when they ported it to Gameboy. As a portable, it's kind of assumed you might be playing in quick spurts and have to put it down frequently.I think it would be a good idea.
