I was at a Best Buy and saw the 8GB Sandisk Extreme Class 10 cards on sale for $40. They're $52 on amazon.com.
I think this was a pricing error. The 4GB cards that were on sale were Sandisk Extreme III Class 6 cards, which are only advertised as 20 MB/s. I think they intended to sell Sandisk Extreme III 8GB cards as well, but instead they ended up putting these higher end cards on sale.
These cards have better read/write performance, and are much better when you need to perform constant read/write operations. So, if you wanted to install an OS on an SD card for your Pandora (or had some other intensive activity in mind), these cards would be the ones to buy.
YMMV, not sure that you'll see this everywhere
UPDATE: Not YMMV, shows up online - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/SanDisk+-+Extreme+III+8GB+Secure+Digital+Media+Card/9016968.p?skuId=9016968&id=1218013808149
They're backordered, but check your local store.
Also, here are benchmarks for SDHC cards that show how these perform considerably better than the rest:
