I've been using roms for a while, but I've never found out what the little [things like this] are after the name of a rom. I realise [!] means good dump and means bad dump (I also don't know what a dump is or what it implies...), but I have no idea what [f1] or ANY of that jump means. Could anyone let me know? Thanks a bunch!

Edit: I'm also seeing things like [f2] and [x]... I'm not sure if that's significant or not...

A dump is another way of saying ROM. It's a dump because originally the game was flashed onto read only chips. You have to run special software to dump it onto a PC.

There are a lot of codes, but it's quite easy to get the hang of what they mean. Especially since the code table has been posted for you above.
 
There are several articles on wikipedia as well. Here is the link to one. I found a more complete one last week but can't remember where I found it.
