How well do these games run on a GP32 BLU+ 166 MHz unit?

:)

ROTT Full speed :)

Quake, A bit slow (7-10fps) but very playable (I play it all the time - very enjoyable)... Oh and the new version of quake has a double screen feature, it reduces the screen size and enlarges the pixels, runs much quicker but not very pretty to look at.

Thanks, I will give these both a try then. Just need to dig up my old CD's. Actually, I think ROTT came on floppy so I may need to install the game first. I guess I just need to copy the WAD's over (like in Doom).

:)

heck Quake can run 20fps in some areas where there's not a lot going on. I'd say I was averaging 7-10fps at 160mhz though... slow as that sounds it IS playable and enjoyable, I was playing it a lot until I got kinda far and found that the save states don't work past level 2 (I think it's level 2.... at any rate they stop working after a certain level). Starting over every time sucks.

The save states are just a bit unreliable, sometimes you have to do the same level 2 or 3 times but then the savestate works... I have found that if you try saving in a diferent slot each time is good too.
