Just came across this unit. It's an Arm based Linux box about the size of a credit card. The developers are aiming for a $25 price tag and a Q4 2011 launch.
This would be awsome, a pocketable homebrew computer you can just plug into a TV and go.

Provisional Specs:

■700MHz ARM11
■128MB or 256MB of SDRAM
■OpenGL ES 2.0
■1080p30 H.264 high-profile decode
■Composite and HDMI video output
■USB 2.0
■SD/MMC/SDIO memory card slot
■General-purpose I/O
■Optional integrated 2-port USB hub and 10/100 Ethernet controller
■Open software (Ubuntu, Iceweasel, KOffice, Python)

This may be old news but I didn't see a thread about it here.

not really new, but it's taking shape :)

Seems like it could be a start for a universal homebrew console. $25 + cost for controller and hdmi capable screen seems very interesting.

If they can get hardware acceleration going in Iceweasel, and release it around the time of FF6 or 7 when the memory leak bug is fixed, so that it has a low RAM footprint for browsing and can handle HTML5 well, that could be really good. A $25 computer that is perfectly capable for web browsing would be hard to pass up, and could see some pretty wide adoption. I know I'd grab one just to try it out if it would work for that.
