There is a HUGE reason why commercial software avoids GPL. Thats a common misconception... there is no reason why a commercial game could not be GPLed. The media doesn't have to be free after all.
But you got a point with it beeing started before GPU940 reached a usable state.
I would love to see a high quality homebrew 3D game on the GP2X utilizing the GPU940 sometimes though. I would definitly help out with 3D models and textures.
