Quake 3


the pad will be to look up, down, left, right, etc...
A,B,X,Y will be to move forward, backward, to the left, and to the right.
Right and Left shoulder, shoot and jump.
Volume buttons could also be used for other functions...

might not be confortable, but it might work out...
Actually that button layout wouldn't be bad at all. Since I would be just holding the Y button (top) while controlling my movement with the joystick, unless in a battle, whch I would use strafe.

and start and select to switch weapons (or volume). And you still have 2 buttons left over! (i think there is a few other moves).

If we could get a powered usb hub, host mode, and a mouse! MMMhhh

Then it would no longer strictly be a handheld, would it?

If you want to do that, just get a laptop. I got a 400mhz P2 laptop for just over $100 last year which can run Quake 3 fine.

I'm loking forward to *truly* handheld Quake though.
