I installed QEMU and have free dos disk on sdcard.

After I run the image either as Hard drive or as iso disk image I end up c:\>

when i hit dir I can only see FDOS and Univbe folder but not my openpandora folder.

How can I run a dos game from there as also can not type ":" in QEMU

Any help

The Pandora Qemu Wiki say : ;)

Keyboard

  • if you can't enter ":" try pressing [shift] (or [left shoulder button]) + [Fn] + [;] or
  • if you can't enter ":" and/or "\" one solution is to use the italien keyboard layout. just type "keyb it" on the commandline and press [enter] after that you can enter ":" with [shift] + [.] and "\" with [Fn] + [H]

how to run a dos game in QEMU

Oki doki Here a little short howto ;)

Pud your Dosgamefiles in a extra Folder and use this as shared Folder.

Shared Folders dont work when they are bigger than 512 MB and you cannot execute anything from them.

The Shared Folder is Read Only.

Use the Freedos Image i made:

http://mcobit.openpandora.org/qemu-images/FreedosWithUniVBE.rar

start it: ^_^

in d:\ are your Dos Files and you must copy them into a Folder on C:\

Thats mostly easy:

Create a Folder on c:

example when you are in c:\

md dosgame
cd dosgame
xcopy d:. /e

After copying can you start your Dosgame ^_^

You can try differrent Setting, more Ram or Adlib.

Happy experimenting ;)

I have downloaded the files.

After i run the file, I am on C:\>

I created new directory dosgame

I also added share folder the game "c97" root of my left sdcard.

Now what command to use to copy the c97 from root left sdcard to c:/>dosgame/

Also I can not type ":" as fn and then pressing . not giving ":"

Please help.

all other fn works except ":" I tried Fn+shift+ and does not work

when i start, there are four options available. Which one should i choose.

Also in PanQemu inside "Other Options" do I need to type inside the Other Options empty bar at the bottom.
