This is just a question... i didn't know where to put it... dont flame me.

My question is: Can the fullspeed psx emulator be ported to the gp2x or does it make use of the psp's 2d/3d hardware. If it does or if the psp has a faster proccesor then i thought then ok. I was just wondering because of the great results of recent psp ports. Of course if this was plausible people would be working on it already but im just curious why it wouldn't work.

The fullspeed psx emulator from the PSP is proprietary and owned by Sony, so it can't be ported. It's basically just Sony's emulator hacked to play illegal ISOs.

Yup yup, it's like the N64 Emulator on the GameCube for the Zelda's Collector's Edition. That could be hacked to play different games.

Of course with an Official emulator they don't release the source ;)

Yes, it uses the PSP's 3D hardware.

The PSP runs at 222Mhz by default, but can be clocked higher without overclocking (PSP's are underclocked by default to save on battery power)

and there's a magic ingredient missing :)

Oh i didn't realize that the emulator was taken from sony.

Also i didn't know it used the 3d hardware.

I knew there had to be a reason it was impossible... my bad.
