Does anyone know how long it takes for the GP2X to load a PSX images?
As long as the videos portrayed in this thread.
Then it takes too long here. I downloaded a copy of breath of fire 3, cause mine was damaged too much (no really) But the downloaded version was a .img file. I converted it to .iso with Magic Iso Maker. But none of the games I tried that way works and the emu says : "LOADING GAME" and it keeps saying that. Do I first have to burn the images to a cd then rip them? There must be a easier way...
It actually works using just the img file, there's no need to convert. I compress mine using PocketISO though and they work fine. Most of them anyway, there are some games that just won't load.
Edit: It also works with bin's and even mdf's I think.
I converted some from iso to bin using magic iso and they did not work at all. To change the format of the image I had to mount it using deamon tools and then rip it like it was a cd using magic iso. I feel stupid now though I thought they had to be bin
BTW how come that breath of fire 3 was playable and now is impossible to play?
Two possibilities I can think of.
#1) Bad image. Test with ePSXe
#2) GP2PSX/PSX4GP2X is in a constant state of change. Something in it may have changed that broke compatibility.
