Hey, new here. Just another new Pandora fan :) :pandora2: .

So I heard that the Pandora, when pushed to the limits, can be as powerful as a GameCube. Now given that the GameCube is more powerful than the PS2 in processer power (485Mhz vs 294Mhz), would it be possible and feasible to compile and run, say, PCSX2 for Pandora?

Even if it could be as powerful as a Gamecube or PS2, it doesn't mean it can emulate a Gamecube/PS2.

As far as I know, you need a pretty powerful computer to do decent PS2 emulation to begin with (also, comparing MHz like "(485Mhz vs 294Mhz)" doesn't really say much about which one is more powerful, since there are other factors than that).

Just be happy with PS1 and (probably) N64 emulation :)

No. You can be pretty sure that PS2 emulation won't be possible on a handheld for many years to come. Once fully functional PS2 emulation is possible on powerful desktop computers then that possibility will become a little more reasonable.

Lots of newbies coming in these days, wonder where they come from. People should show a little friendliness if it is just the first post.

PS2 or Gamecube emulation will not happen. But games of that level of graphics could be made to work on the pandora if someone ported the original sourcecode or created a similar game from the ground up around the Pandora hardware.

either trolls are getting more subtle or ive been directing my flames at the wrong people

No you can not. To port a game, at can be as powerful, but to emulate, it has to be more powerful. You might be able to port, but i doubt it.

emulation has nothing to do with porting. don't try to explain things when you arent knowledable of them.
