Just curious.
Please add any though/idea etc.

Most companies that create cables like this have minimum orders of at least 10,000 or so.. getting someone that could do smaller batches are hard to find.So what is the hold up on this? I am not a hardware builder, so I do not understand why these have not been made and sent out? Anyhow, I would like a cable of at least 10 feet and have as many attachments as there can be. I think that covers it......
The holdup is that the companies that have been contacted to make these cables for Pandora...have wanted an absurdly high minimum order, like 100,000.So what is the hold up on this? I am not a hardware builder, so I do not understand why these have not been made and sent out? Anyhow, I would like a cable of at least 10 feet and have as many in and out ports as there can be. I think that covers it......
What about giving people an OPTION??I like the idea of shorter cables. This is why I use an external controller, and leave the Pandora sitting next to the TV/monitor. With a short cable, it is more portable. If you need a longer cable, add whatever length additional you may need, but don't force the rest of us to carry around additional meters of cable, it increases cost and bulk.
At this stage we'd be lucky just to get A cable, splitting production runs into more variants is probably out of the question at this point. What about giving people an OPTION??
That'd be the 'break out board' option others have asked for which would be acceptable to many, going by previous discussions over the years on this subject (and possibly even more desirable). When you think of the number of lines and connections a fully featured cable would have to accomodate, it could be a pretty hefty piece of wire - both to carry around (when you look at the thing it belongs to) AND to have hanging off that little connector on the back of the unit.Or how about making connectors that would fit the Pandora, and then accept standard AV Cables?
It could be though - holding the pandora with even only a couple of feet of slack hanging off that connector with a cable carrying audio in and out lines, composite and S-Video lines and possibly more... that's tempting fate!Me, personally, I want a LOOOOONG cable, because, when gaming, I do not want to jerk on the cords, and cause the Pandora to fall from where I have it. So, if there's enough slack, this is not a problem.
