Hello All,
I have been trying to figure out if the battery LED works on my new GP2X.
I started one thread about that here:
http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?showtopic=28980

I'm trying a new approach, I found the GPIO demo code on the wiki here:
http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/GPIO_Programming_Example

I have compiled the app and run it on my GP2X, the screen flashes (as expected) but not the battery LED. Can someone (perferably with a GP2X MkII) please download and run the appilcation and tell me if it makes their battery LED flash? I need to know if it's the LED that doesn't work or if it's the app.

1) Download the zip file here:
http://nickdafish.com/gp2x_test.zip

2) Extract the gpe and the gpu to the root of the SD card

3) Via the Utility runner, run 'test.gpu'

4) To clean up remove demo2.gpe, test.gpu, stdout.txt and stderr.txt

Thanks people!

I just played my gp2x until the battery died, a couple minutes before that the led came on...

... I see reading comprehension was not one of your strong subjects in school.

Luckily, I'm here to help.

I tested it. The Battery indicator light came on every second or so, for ~1/2 second. Ergo, it worked :)

The battery light is VERY dim. Try it in a dark room.

I can never see my light, heck it is dim in a pitch black room.

Oh. Can you give me a little more info? Does your battery LED come on when your batteries are low? What version of the GP2X do you have (If it came installed with Firmware 2.0.0 it's a MkII)?
