That's to everybody, not just OEMs and manufacturers: http://www.makershed.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=MKPQ01

10.1", guaranteed to work in the Samsung N130 and Lenovo S10-2, can work in other models. Can't wait to see the projects made with this, beagleboard-based e-book reader/tablet anybody?

reflective display are great to the low power they use, and they can show video or just anything and that is great. however you are like all these guy saying that ebook reader will die with the Ipad, you have not understood that while the autonomy is a great thing the real advantage of e-ink is the confort for the eyes... and pixel-QI do not have this advantage...

As I understand it, it has triple the resolution in b/w mode. Not sure what the original resolution is but it should be plenty for casual reading. While e-ink might be an impressive technology, it's too unflexible for my taste. This display does everything (games, video, reading) and it does it well enough for the vast majority of people. I've been reading ebooks on my GBA and it wasn't much of a problem. I find dedicated ebook readers to be too expensive and limited in function. The same, to a lesser extent, is true for the iPad as well, though.

Also, you are accusing fischju2000 of "being like all these guys" although there was not even a hint of him predicting the end of e-ink in his post. No need to defend your favourite technology before it's even been properly attacked... <_<
