Perfect GBA emulation on GP32?

Ok, not exaclty GBA emulation but as mentioned on this board before the dutch console and computer games show "Gammo" uses a butched-up GP32 to show their GBA game footage. When zapping today I game across their end of year show and managed to grab my camera when Mario & Luigi was shown.

Why do they do this? Can't they show a real GBA due to some legal problem, doesn't Nintendo want to pay them for showing the GBA or maybe someone on the show is a secret GP32 lover...

If you think the mistreatment of our beloved GP32 should stop right now you can complain here. ;)

I saw someone talking about some other time a "Gammo" appeared on TV... It seems to me like it's either a GP32 shell, slightly modified and GBA parts stuffed in (the hole in the bottom for cartriges) Or a mirrored GP32 with a diffrent screen holder, a big chunk cut out of it, and GBA stuff digitaly added... Or mabye they do have an emu...?

Yup, I brought this up earlier this month, but since I could not produce any picture, I sort of let the topic go. But yeah...I think someone at Gammo ought to be poked in the side for this...'t least let know they're ridiculing a great portable?

Speaking of it...the GP32 got mentioned in the Number 13 GamesTM magazine. If anyone wants, I can attempt scanning the article. They basically mention they wish the European launch would happen, but on the other side they also say that it wouldn't do well anyway, which is a shame, according to them. They love the GP32.

O...K...... that is weird. Why the hell do they want to show GBA games on a GP32? And a well fecked up one at that. What channel is this shown on?

looks like a fake....
why do they have a gp32 which 1. has the fucked up name "gammo" and 2. doesnt have the power turned on??

this is weird.
maybe they did an upgrade of the gp32 (32mb ram and maybe 250mhz  :D ) and they did let vba32 run that stuff? omfg im total confused....no more weed today!

What, do you people actually think it's a real physical GP32? It's obviously just this picture that's been fucked around with and had a movie clip of a gba game digitally composited on top of it. But why they want to do that is what I want to know.

Sorry for the confusion it may have caused but it is clear that this is in no way emulation or a GBA stuffed into a GP32. It is, just as mr twit says, just a picture with a GBA movie on top of it. My question, just as mr twit again, is WHY?

The Gammo is probably a skin for a gba emulator that this tv-show uses to display gba game footage.
I think this has little to do with real gp32 hardware or real GBA hardware for that matter.

The start and select buttons are in the wrong place, the A/B and D-pad are on the wrong sides and the A/B buttons are at the wrong angles to each other. The speakers do not 'bump' out, and the D-pad is depressed in too far. Why would someone want to mutilate a picture of a GP32 so much, then stretch a GBA game onto its screen. Its definitely not a GBA in a GP32 shell.

I've seen this show once or twice and it sucks. They're just some wiggers getting paid by game companies to do some promotional blabla.

However I don't think they're on gameparks payroll. IMHO it's more probable they found some picture of a gp32 on gameparks site and thought: 'We could use this! Those corean dudes will never see it, and if they do, they won't have any money to sue us anyway'

It's not even a real shell!
As you said, the speakers do not bump out.
But neither do any of the buttons.

It's just a photo manipulation (a pretty bad one).
Look at that A and B writing on the buttons - the perspective doesn't fit
the perspective of the picture.

They just used the Original GP32 picture from the Gamepark Homepage...

I did the same thing (needed about 10 minutes...) and look what happened...

The same crap ;)

1.Gammo is a make of an air pistol .
2.The D-pad is on the wrong side.
3.Whats the point even in trying to emulate a GBA seeing as they all rreally just ports of the Snes.
4.Funny how they show it from one angle only?

Humm sorry, I think I am to blame for the angle. I didn't sit in front of the TV but to the side.
