I am unable to reproduce the /dev/ttyACM0 output again.
lsusb don't show that ACM device.

Removed everything including battery, SD cards. Directly on adapter power.

The sequence is I suppose power on, then R-Button and Down arrow next to left-nub 4 times. Right?

I've always held the r-button down while powering the unit on to access that menu. There's probably a timing involved, but I couldn't say how short it is. I'd say:
1. Hold down R button
2. Apply enough power to boot
3. Release R-button
4. Go down on the d-pad 4 times
5. Select

I'm not sure what 'select' is although if you saw output over debug then it was probably booting when you did whatever you did. The Pandora being what is is, it could need the right on the dpad, the A button, the X button the B button or the enter key.

Once in a while I am able to get the U-boot prompt. But unable to duplicate it.
Same with agetty and minicom. Yesteday, I thought my Rebirth got bricked without any access. But later somehow the serial login over minicom worked.

Now back to network access over ssh in Sl4p.

Trying a kernel compile.

You probably need to provide more log output than that for anyone to be able to advise. All that is saying is that kernel/time.o can't be built, not why it can't be built.

I presume you are cross-compiling? Have you set up the cross-compilation toolchain and associated environment/make variables correctly, as a first guess?

Naw, I am compiling on my Rebirth Pandora only. Is it feasible?
Will get back soon with logs.

Not something I've ever done before but no reason why it shouldn't be possible. You may need a swap file if it runs out of RAM, and certainly a good amount of patience.

Btw, I am after kernel compilation because presently /dev/rfkill is missing in 3.2.93 #1322. I need it to unblock bluetooth, I suppose with fix my bluetooth issues.

That git checkout didn't check anything out due to errors, so it's not surprising that the make failed afterwards.

Unfortunately for you, I can't remember the magic incantations to tell git to blat everything, for situations like that. Whenever it happens to me I have to do an internet search to figure it out.

It might need a git reset --hard, from a search I've just done, but I'm not sure. I'd need to get my own repos into such a situation on purpose (for the first time) to be able to test that out.
