Pdf Or E-book Reader?

Not yet (maybe in the NEAR future on GP32 linux) , but you can convert your PDF to a JPEG and THEN view it.

Guess you'll have to do some extra work to read your karate notes on your GP32 bruce :D

Hi

exist for the GP32 a E-Book or PDF reader?
E-book isn't a format, it's a marketing term used to describe any electronic book. As well as the various ebook formats that support things like bookmarks and security, don't forget that a plain text file is also an ebook (and viewable on the gp32), a pdf document is an ebook, a word doc is an ebook etc.

If you have a microsoft ebook, you can translate it to txt. If there is any interest really soon (like in the next day) I could attach the converter or a link here, as the site may be down.

Funny microsoft, if you have the ebook, chances are you bought it, or will buy some in the future. But they lock it up with drm for their windows (CE) enabled devices and the like.

Their is the mpgp which allows mp3s in the backround during txt ebooks, different fonts and even a nice backround you can change. should be archived on www.gp32spain.com under utilidads.

Even the k2yaa reader on www.gp32eu.com is pretty nice, quick loading and bookmarks!

If you have pdf ebooks, you can open them in openoffice, or maybe even reader, and save as text.

Also, most of the other formats out there have converters, or are just plain text with headers and extra data.

I use my gp32 as an ebook reader occasionally, usually with free books from www.ipl.org
Internet Public Library.

They have lots there.

and if you use the newsgroups your internet provider supplies you with you`ll have access to LOOOAAADDDDSSSS more , some possibly not so free

You can also simply save PDF as TXT using the Adobe Reader. Just open it and choose "Datei - als Text speichern" ("File - Save as Text"). Only thing is you won't get any pictures embedded into the document.

is it possible to read an ebook wit images in it on the gp32? Cause when i move it into a txt.file and open it on my pc i only see hieroglyphics and as a .jpg i cant get the file on the GP,he denies it ( with name .jpeg also, cause it has more then 3 letters).

I always only get a Bluescreen instead of my text using Lazy Reader and !reader doesnt open my txt files although theyr below 100kb and only 2

Bizarre...
Are you sure you aren't doing something wrong (maybe its a BLU+ thing - but I didn't think there were any such problems of this sort).
