Hi,
I was able to little confortable with developing some stuff for GP32,

I have a question, the tutorials of Rico are an excellent intro to gp32, they make the programming for GP32 looks so easy,

BTW what is a utility that will help us convert two graphics but create a single palette ? Just like gfx2gba utility.

Kindly let me know

Thanks

That is good to optimize color palettes, especially when you are optimizing using one of Photo editors.
but, how does it help to create text files using the converter ?

I guess, I am too dumb, or missing something here

Got it,
after you join the images, convert the entire image, and use it in the program.
No need to seperate it though, however, we need to know the exact offset of the different images that are being used.

i think the best way is to read GamePArk's docs about palette reserving.

in other words.. you reserve 64 colours for Background pic...
64 colours for main character....
64 colours for enemy... and you may use the rest 64 colours for special use, i.e. for some palette scrolling / flashing effects.. (for flashing eyes, moving water)

do you see?

so you can have 1,2,3 parts of the palette (192 col) different for each game level
and the 4th part of the palette should be constant, to be able show score, etc with the same colours...

generalnmx told you the easiest way..
but his way will make your game unbright
and... constant looking

u'd better think about changing plaette for each level / title.. scene 8)

g'luck!

Thanks for the insite,
my question is, how do I use the tools available to do the way you mentioned ?

If any one can give me a simple tutorial as to how to use two backgrounds and one sprite to share the same palette, I mean a practical approach, that will great help.

Thanks
