Now this is what I would love to see on the pandora.

Sadly I don't think it's opens source so I will have to beg the creators.

Peppy is a mate of mine, he'll no doubt have a play on the pandora at some stage when I get it.

I'll let him know there is interest on the platform, we'll see what he says...

I would gladly pay money to the developer(s) for this to be ported to the Pandora. It's incredible! :D

Elite Beat Agents is the lone US-exclusive game; most people call the series Ouendan or OSU. I wish I had a tablet, because I love the gameplay of these and OSU is pretty unplayable via mouse.

Thanks Kryzaach. That would be awesome. Should I still email the devs at Ous or should I consider this enough to let them know about our interest?

EDIT: After searching the forums there I found this
http://osu.ppy.sh/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&...9&view=next
It's from late last year. It seems that at that time the devs were busy focused on other things but were open to volunteers to start a team to work on a port. I don't know if this is still the case but I am wondering if anyone here is both interested in doing a port and has the knowledge?
I'm only throwing it out there as a suggestion and would do it myself if I had the code monkey skills.

Well... Ouendan, Ouendan 2, and EBA are my favorite games on the DS. I saw this thread at 9pm today, and I installed osu!, now its 2:18 am :( Where did the time go!!!

Yeah funny how time flies. There was always a large amount of support both on this side and on their side, but at the time I mentioned it nobody who could do anything about it seemed interested (though of course Peppy, the one-man dev team expressed an interest, but he has always had a mile lont to-do list).

For anybody interested in it on this side, he has always been very open to giving any and all relevant documentation to the .osz file spec and pointers here and there when necessary, he mostly keeps it closed source to protect the online and ranking portions of the game. So I doubt he would give anybody interested in creating their own port the cold shoulder.

I jumped on this a bit late last night, It's impressive just how perfect a replication it is of Ouendan/EBA. Although just like Frets on Fire, the user created tracks range from fine to "WTFOMGBBQHOLYSHITBROKEN11!". I downloaded a few songs that are "supposed" to be easy or normal difficulty but they have these crazy charts that stretch the bounds of realistic gameplay. Also my ancient laptop has trouble playing some of the tracks that come with video accomplyment.

I was surprised to see that it also has a Taiko Drum mode as well if you cant play the regular Ouendan/EBA mode.

sounds like a great project, I'm definitely interested in working on a port, just have to find the time.

Who would be best to contact on the Osu dev team to start talking about getting code to start a port? Peppy or Nuudles? If I get the time, I might start browsing their forums to check for any relevant information, but tips from someone in-the-know on who to ask nicely would be appreciated :D

I would probably talk with both of them.

First you should definitely talk with Peppy, as he can give you all the nitty gritty details necessary for having a 100% accurate port (accuracy timing, .osz file spec, scoring formulas).

I took the liberty of starting a thread in their forums seeing what can be done on either side a couple days ago. According to Nuudles, his iphone version has very little to offer any Pandora port, though you can check out his post here:

Oh, and allow me to thank you for showing interest--this is something I have been wanting to see progress on since I heard of the Pandora, and as far as I know, you're the only one who has shown any genuine interest :)
