Well I think I've done enough to call this the next release.
VERSION 0.99a
Noticeable changes
* Seeking (only forward) in GameCube music
* Increased samplerate for Game Music emulator
* Had to increase clock frequency for sega music becuase of that
* Made use of the whole "LED"-display, showing MHz in it (scale 250 to 0)
* Fixed default track length for songs missing track info (mainly SIDs)
* Added AdPlug (2M AMD BAM CFF CMF D00 DFM DMO DRO DTM HSC HSP IMF KSM LAA
LDS M MAD MID MKJ MSC MTK RAD RAW RIX ROL S3M SA2 SAT SCI
SNG SNG SNG XAD XMS XSM)
* Fixed bugs with FAT-filesystem (temporary files could not be written a
second time)
[cut]
Internal changes
* Various changes to libpokecubed
* Fixed SVN for source; svn://mira.areta.org/micket/svn/oldplay <-- this means i wont update the source zip on my site.

Some music for adplug can be found here;
http://adplug.sourceforge.net/extras.php
http://chiptunes.back2roots.org/
http://adlib.superfighter.com/

I especially recommend VIBRAT2.AMD in the example tunes on adplug's homepage. Good stuff.[/cut]

EDIT: Perhaps i should include the url as well -_-

I think there's a file missing from the archive, the "oldplay" (no extension) file. Because when I run it, it still registers itself as 0.98 and cannot play Adplug-supported files, yet the old version I have still has that file. (which was not overwritten, obviously)

Also, it won't start if I start it through Gmenu2x-- it just gets stuck "Loading Oldplay". If I use the GPH menus, it'll start fine. (Firmware 3)

First; the archive isn't updated, there is a link in this thread to 0.99.
Im not sure why it's not working in firmware 3 and gmenu2x. I always use gmenu2x on firmware 2.1 and that works fine.

Can anyone else confirm this as a bug? Especially by running it through telnet and check the stderr.

Okay, I think I'm being really stupid. There's no link to 0.99 in this thread that I can see-- just links to 3 sites for Adplug music and a link to the archive which isn't updated. Unless you're implying that I have to compile it off SVN or something. =/

I can try doing a telnet check sometime when I learn how (I'm new to the 2X)

Why.. it's right there in the original post..
I forgot about it when i first posted but i edited it right away.

EDIT:
And for the next update i plan to support track length in playlists (M3u, PLS and OPL)
Im also gonna try to support making playlists for specifik subtunes. (although i dont think i'll support making suchs playlists within OldPlay, they would have to be made externally)

Also. im not sure how adplug works, but it seems i can't find a single midi that works with it?

Im also starting to have some problems with plugins overlapping. Adplug handles som s3m-files and modplug others. Not sure what to do about it really.

Well that what happens automaticly. But modplug can't play certain s3m files, those meant for adplug, and the other way around as well.
And modplug doesn't even complain, it just plays silence for the whole track length.

>*irrelevant stuff*<

Yes, I knew the archive was there. I've downloaded it, but as I said it's MISSING A FILE INSIDE IT. Upon inspecting the oldplay.gpu in that archive it references the file "./oldplay" which doesn't exist. Therefore, as a result, when I run it, I get dumped back to the selector after a black screen. If I substitute one in from an older version, it runs but obviously it's the older version. That file seems to contain the whole program except the stuff in the players folder.

Ack! Sorry, i thought i double checked but you are absolutely right, i managed to lose the actual oldplay in the zip!

To make it up for you, here have version 0.995
CHANGELOG:
VERSION 0.995
Noticeable changes
* Support for track length in all playlist formats
* Support for specifik subtunes in OPL-playlists.
* Added ability to specify subtunes in playlist (L+left,L+right)
* Added ability to specify track length (n*5 seconds) in playlists
(L+voldown,L+volup). Since all controls are used I had to steal
the controls for blending audio for now.
They blend as usual when outside playlist mode.

this time i'm sure it's in there :D

Any mods, please update the name of the thread to v0.995 !

That's better. :D

Awesome. I'm jamming insanely to Adlib tunes now! And it also starts through gmenu2x again. No clue what made it not work on the last version.

However, if I try to play a .a2m adplug file it drops me back to gmenu2x. Unsure why, but it might be an adplug bug and not yours.

Other than that, it works amazingly. Thanks for the release!

If you got music that should work in adplug (preferably tested it on your pc with adplug) mail me the songs on micketeer at gmail dot com

Also give the new extensive playlist editing abilities a good run as well, if you find any bugs or you find something that works awkwardly just tell me and i'll look into it.

For the next update:
* Maybe GSF-support. Or ogg.
