Okay A Little Help With Picodrive And Sega Cd

This has probably gotta be one of the dumbest questions ever,

I have a rip of a couple Sega CD images with separate audio files (wave files to be exact, 1:1 burns) along with a cue and iso. How do I get this to run on PicoDrive? Do I need to rezip the images and files?

Thanks in advance gang :)

No just drop them as they are in a roms folder that should be fine, SegaCD has its own options in PicoDrive :P

You should also know, japanese Mega CD games do not run with PicoDrive 1.80, see here.

There is unfortunately no older version available for the Caanoo. Hopefully the next version will fix it.

If you have problems with JAP isos, 2 options :

1) convert isos

Mini tuto (by FreddyBoubil):
- Download ConvSCD (thanx google)
- Open a command line on windows ("cmd")
- go in the iso directory
- Type convscd name_of_file_iso_or_raw
- Choose US. Don't choose PAL cause Picodrive will block at 50 Hz.

you'll have a new ISO converted and useable with Picodrive.

2) Use GINGE :

- download GINGE for Caanoo
- download an older version of Picodrive on Notaz site ( try 1.50 )
- launch ginge then Picodrive 1.50 and play your games

see there : examples
