Well, I would just like to say how impressed I am with Noiz2sa. What an incredible piece of software. Awesome. If anyone hasn't checked it out yet they really should ! Some really neat programming going on in there. Can't wait to steal some of the visual ideas :D

Then I have good news for you. The visual design is common in Kenta Cho's games. Have a look at his other games - maybe more of them could be ported to the GP2X:

Torus Trooper is awesome. But not only does it require OpenGL, it is written in D.
 
IIRC the same programmer, or one with a very similar style, uses SDL very heavily. One of his more memorable games is rRootage, though it's less a full game and more a trainer to get better at dodging bullet patterns like those found in most top-scrolling shooters. I'll get back to you on some of his stuff that IS SDL once I get a chance to try it on the gp2x, of course.
