What is the NAND flash in the GPX2 for?

NAND flash is the same stuff used in flash cards (SMC, SD), so yes the number of writes are limited but they're limited to several hundred thousand writes per block so you're not going to be wearing it out any time soonHuxley posted on Aug 25 2005 at 08:22 PM said:It's flash memory so it only has a limited number of writes, which makes it pretty much useless for anything other than OS purposes. Should be able to fit a pretty neat OS in there, though.

Sure you don't mean that the other way around?Squidge posted on Aug 28 2005 at 05:35 AM said:(Everything above is in bytes, not bits, before someone complains)
