As you have OSX 10.2.x you need to poison your GP32 at least once by connecting it to a PC.. here are the steps you need to take:

1a) get the PDUID of your GP32.. for this use GPS2 or old version of PC-Link (v0.9
or so). This is the phase where you need to use PC as GPS2 & PC-Link are
Windows only programs.
1b) Use the official GP32 registration procedure to get yourself a encoded
copy of FreeLauncher. Again the registration wizard is Windows only.
2) if you did 1a) then when you have GP32 PDUID register yourself an encrypted
Free Launcher from #gp32 irc channel. See http://faq.gp32emu.com/ how to
do that.
3) Once you have a Free Launcher then upgrade your GP32 Firmware. Again
See http://faq.gp32emu.com/ how to do that.

Maclink is a commanline tool.. just use it from terminal with your favourite shell. There is a graphical frontend for Maclink. See
http://users.bigpond.net.au/jones-domain/m...gp32linker.html

ok i bit the dust...i got my gp running using my pclink at work....i have been able to install mp3's without any issue....i'm having issues installing doom.fxe and the other emulators onto my card and the gp.

anyone can help?

Have you got free launcher installed? By default, the GP32 only runs commercial games, the Free Launcher is a 'commercial game' that just brings up a menu of free games, like doom. If you have got it, just use maclink to send doom.fxe to the gpmm dir and your shareware / full WAD file to the game/doom dir.

As spiv said, it's a good idea to upgrade your firmware, either to the new european firmware, or spiv's own multifirmware...

OK I got free Launcher loaded...I downloaded doom off this site but it says i need wads (WTF)?

can anyone help a newbie get 'into the games?'

thanks

Doom.fxe is just a port of the doom engine. It still needs the original shareware/commerical WADs. Read the README that came with Doom. I think the shareware wad is even available off this website.
