A game that I've made and ported to the GP2X for some competition a few days ago.

It's a small Jump'n'Run with 5 levels. You play a carrot that is stuck in a snowman's face.

Cracking platformer. Like level 3 where the map is modified in real time.

R & L shoulder buttons to get out the game over loop. Had to read the readme for that.

Thanks for this Simon :)

Does not work for me. Firmware version 2.1.

Can you describe the error? What does the log.txt in the game directory (on your SD) say?
Maybe you just need to wait a bit. Sometimes it takes ~30 seconds to load.

Thanks,
Simon

I execute the GPE. The screen turns black and stays that way. I waited for several minutes, the game did not load. I checked the log.txt in the game folder, but it was empty.

Just played through this on the way into Croydon yesterday - fantasticaly fun game :), with a great tounge-in-cheek storyline, and not too long for said story.

Any chance of an extended one, possibly of the deranged Conny coming up with a plan to take over the world (after his brutal murdering of his nemesis) or some such? I'd offer to do more art for you if you did, but I'm absolutely crap, and I'm very bad at pixel art in general (certainly not up to Conny's current standards).

Very cool little X-mas game :)

Maybe there was some problem while downloading, unzipping or copying it to your SD card (means: maybe the file on your GP2X is damaged). Have you tried downloading and installing it a second time? Other than that I cannot help you, sorry...

Out of interest.. is this using Allegro?
Still haven't got my dev environment setup
It is using Allegro. I used devkitPro along with theoddbot's static libraries (Allegro and libmikmod) to compile it.

I'm glad that you like it. :)
I haven't thought of a sequel yet, currently I'm busy doing a game that is not GP2X-related.
Maybe I will do some kind of a sequel, or at least a guest appearance in another game. It sure would be a lot of fun.

Hey, this is a really nice game, thanks for releasing it. A lot of thought has obviously gone into it, I love the many little touches. The playability is very good too.

Nice game, maybe feels slightly unpolished in places, but hey - It's all fun.

Is it just me, or is the music PAINFULLY LOUD though? And it doesn't seem to respond to my gentle proddings of the vol-down button at all...

I have FW 2.1.2, if it matters.
