Does anybody know if there is a way to have two computers networked together so that a third computer recognises them as one computer? (Shared HDs, tasks split between the two CPUs, etc.)
I doubt it very much, But why would you want that. You can have it so it only see`s one machine and not the other, But two machines as one entity  nah, not as far as i know.
My two friends both had IDENTICAL computers and eventually got new ones giving them to me. Thought it would be neat to network the two PCs into a sort of virtual PC and control it with my personal computer that I actually use. A small chance that such a thing exists I know.
Well, You can use a piece of software called pc-anywhere or others like it to control each pc (mouse and keyboard input etc) from your main pc and run programs on the other machines, But they will still appear a two seperate machines.
