ive just installed gngeo onto my gp2x
ive installed gngeo and rage2x into the same folder on my sd card
ive downloaded unibios and put that into the roms folder
ive put metalslug into the roms folder "its zipped"
i get the rage2x screen when i run ragex ,and the choice of games to pick, so i pick metal slug and when i run it it says"
the following bios files are missing
./roms/vs-bios.rom
./roms/sfix.sfx
./roms/000-lo.lo

and then says press any key ,which i do and it just locks up.
just thought i try to find some help on here .
cheers

You're missing those 3 BIOS: vs-bios.rom, sfix.sfx, 000-lo.lo

You still need those even if you are using the unibios.

Also, it might help to set Rage2x to "Auto Reload GUI" in the settings (Select button).

from the wiki: http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/GnGeo2x

All files are placed in the roms directory within GnGeo2x (or whever ever you're storing your roms). If you have similar files (like ng-lo.rom, ng-sfix.rom) just rename them properly.

(1) NG-LO.ROM should be named 000-lo.lo

(2) NG-SFIX.ROM should be named SFIX.SFX

(3) NEO-GEO.ROM should be named SP-S2.SP1 - Or to any of the other countries (if you want to use them).

* mandatory files
o 000-lo.lo
o sfix.sfx
* country files (only needed if you configure country)
o usa_2slt.bin - USA
o vs-bios.rom - Japan
o asia-s3.rom - Asia
o sp-s2.sp1 - Europe
* system files (only needed if you configure system)
o aes-bios.bin - A.E.S:

That really useful, bboyneko. I always wondered why I couldn't change countries without using unibios.

In order to get the missing roms, use the same neogeo.zip that Mame2x/Mame4all/Fba2x. Unzip in the roms directory and no renaming needed. If you use neogeo.zip from NeoRageX (a popular Windows PC emulator), then you have to rename as bboyneko says.
