I have an MP4 film. is there anyway to re-encode it for the 2x? I have look at pocket divx but no go. Can someone suggest another program that will do it?

Thanks

Pocket Divx can do it, but I use AutoGK. It yields better quality for the same size file. Have a look at the GP2X Wiki too. There is a section on re-encoding video for the GP2X.

I tried Pocket divx but it is looking for a video file not any other format.

Not as simple as others software but very efficient : VirtualDub.
I use it for every re-encoding I do.

EDIT : there's a special version for your Mpg needs.

Try renaming it with a .avi extension. You'll probably find that pocket divx can do it.

That's not to say that pocket divx is the best, I usually use virtualdub myself, though AutoGK and TecloLou's fave SUPER © seem to be a bit easier to use.
