Pandora minecraftserver on a pandora

I don't know about this particular server, but the stock Minecraft server runs pretty well so long as no new chunks are created. Chunk creation is painful, sometimes leading to up to 5 minutes of lag time.

edit: I further this statement by saying that when I ran a server on my BeagleBoard, I first created the world on my desktop, ran around like an idiot for a few hours to generate a huge world, and then installed a server mod to prevent users from going outside a specific radius.

It also had to be bounced daily to recover memory.

Most performance issues with minecraft servers seem to stem from connection issues. I don't know that it would benefit from being on a wireless device. Also with the way maps are handled and updated, would this be healthy for flash memory as far as memory-wear goes?

you could run it of an SD card and a USB to Ethernet adapter :)

Yeah, I could buy a beagleboard for it too! hmm:p

though a natively compiled server just seems much better than one running java... (memory and cpu usage, uh!)

btw so java is running that well on arm devices?
