Well I think it could be nice to have a Mesa (OpenGL) port to the GP32, then people could get their hand dirty with 3d ;-). But it will be a software renderer, since as far as i know they are no support of any kind of 3d stuff in the ARM9.
 
Theres no 2d rendering in the GP32 hardware either. IMHO it would run at 1fps if anyone DID port it :p
 
To make a decent 3d engine for the GP32, you would have to make it from scratch, unless there is an open source ARM 3d engine somewhere, which there could be, as many PDAs use ARM processors.
 
there is a 3D engine written for the N-gage that also runs on Palm, GBA and other ARM based devices.

Can't remember the name off hand, but it is used in a Wipeout type clone.
 
That remind me that they are also XForge from Fathammer that will run on Tapwave handheld (which is based on an ARM9). They are also another 3d engine that was suppose to be ported to the GP32, made by some Korean company but it seems to have vanish 8-(
