March 13th Is Coming Up.

Just contact sales if you still need to place your order. There is still time, we are still working with many people to get their orders completed.

I skipped the "tranzfers" people completely, they were, in my opinion, a waste of time.

I went straight to my bank, asked them how much a wire transfer would cost, they said 8 dollars, I handed them the page I'd received in email from Jacqueline about the UK wire transfer, and had them send it.

Practically zero hassles, it was 330 for the console, 19 shipping, plus 8 for the wire transfer fee to the UK, making my wallet 357.00 lighter, sent an email to Jacqueline, and she confirmed payment receipt about a week later.

I feel I'm far happier than having messed in any way with the tranzfers people.

If you can bank transfer, you're much better off. I think the tranzfers thing is for those who can't do a bank transfer, or maybe I'm confused with something else?

There we go, knew I had it somewhere.

Tranzfers are an alternate option for people whose bank slugs them $50 just to do the transfer.

$8 is awesome Kaze0110, which country & bank if you don't mind me asking?

They don't give the cost online, and its a local credit union, but they have some pretty awesome fringe benefits. Just today, I emailed them, and found they offer car insurance as well, without trying to sound like a commercial or anything, realistically, I cut my bill from 70.00 a month, to 32.00.

Its one of the very few companies I truly enjoy dealing with.

A bit of a plug is a-ok. Banks have been the biggest source of headaches throughout this project, so any bank that makes life a little easier is worth talking up. :)

Hm. I've got an account at a local credit union as well, but they're not quite as forgiving with wire-transfer fees. $20 domestic, $40 international. Way too much to pay as a fee to just send money to OP. I ended up mailing them a check, worked out perfectly. :D

Was the deadline for pre-ordering seriously March 13th? I found out about the Pandora on the 14th (just my luck :p) and I think I want to get one. Can I have the correct information about ordering, please?

As Craig said above: "Just contact sales if you still need to place your order. There is still time, we are still working with many people to get their orders completed."

First thing you'll need to know is that credit card ordering is not possible. It's bank transfer / cheque / money order only. The lovely sales staff can be reached at openpandorasales@gmail.com :)

I just realized something... (yeah, all these delays and re-orders and stuff are confusing.) If I preorder now, I get in on the first batch, right? For some reason I was under the impression that it was the second batch, but now I'm having second (heheheh) thoughts.

I sent in my information this morning and am waiting for a reply with an order number, so I think I should be able to find a spot in the first batch. Thanks for all your help, by the way. :)

As you may have guessed, it's not *true* 3D. It's more Mode7 perspective style... but still one of the first functional ones on this model!

Some extra clarification, in case you're curious:
They ordered parts for 4000 in anticipation of the 3800 (plus a couple hundred more as demo, spare, and replacements just in case) that had pre-ordered. When the banking problems came up, and an unknown (but sufficiently large) number of those 3800 did not commit to repayment by bank transfer. Those unclaimed pre-orders are what you're currently dipping into, and what Craig is sending out additional emails to try and fill.

Dude, I used to LOVE messing with TI-calc programming. Remember Bill Nagel? Ahh, those were the days.

We have to get a TI-83+ emulator running on the Pandora, no doubt about it. :) There is an open source one for the DS, which shouldn't be too hard to port, I should think. Just Google WabbitDS and you'll find it.
