Windows 7 is a great operating system, many forms of Linux are great operating systems. The world would be better off if people just stopped listening to stallman being dumbshits about it.

By the way, dude, nice usage of the dollar sign in Windo$e! That's so clever and unique lol!

Yes, W7 is much better than Vista. I'm just waiting for someone to write a script to get rid of all the crap before I install it however. You know, disable the "fade in/out menus", disable "smooth scrolling", etc. I like things snappy, not sluggish and cpu wasting. Then again, I might just stay with XP as I don't feel like learning to do everything again on 7 just because MS decided to make it "easier to use" by changing how everything works again.

You can disable that stuff, it's under System->Advanced system settings.
The change to where every settings is located is one of my bigger gripes with 7.
Well, that, the unintuitive search, the crappy version of paint and the inability to change to a windows classic-ish theme.

It's still a bit nicer than XP, but not enough for me to pay for it.
So after this trial period is over, I will probably switch back to XP on my windows computer.

I got a student discount on mine and only paid $43. :D

$30 was for a download of the installer from Digital River plus an e-mail with the activation key, and I opted to pay an additional $13 so I could have an official copy of the installation DVD.
