Koules2X is a SDL port I've done of a fun homebrew Linux SVGAlib/X11 game released
in 1995 by Jan Hubicka. I originally released it for the GP2X and now that I have a Wiz thanks to EvilDragon (thanks!) I can give you an improved version on the Wiz.
The idea of the game is to beat back waves of incoming objects against the sides of the field, where they shatter. Larger and more massive balls, two different types of randomly appearing black holes, and spit from smaller balls keeps you on your toes. Power ups appear that increase your mass and speed, which you'll definitely need later on.
-=KOULES2X Version 0.3 (for Wiz) =-
Ported by Senor Quack (Dan Silsby)
-------------
CHANGE LOG:
-------------
0.3: Initial Wiz version. Improvements from the GP2X version are:
Volume can be adjusted from anywhere in game.
Removed menu options that did not apply to Wiz or GP2X.
Cleaned up some instructional text in game.
Pausing of game made more intuitive.
SELECT button no longer exits program from main menu.
0.2: Added sound support. Sound defaults to volume level 1 (so as not to destroy
the ears of those using headphones).
Fixed game saving to only save at important levels and not wear out the
SD card with tons of unnecessary writes.
Old version caused writes even at level changes through the main menu (yuck!).
0.1a: First release (GP2X version)
-------------
INSTALLATION:
-------------
Unzip koules2x_03_wiz.zip into the game\ folder of your SD. The SD should
now contain this folder: game\koules2x_03
Be sure to extract the zip with full pathnames enabled.
