I know it's been suggested already, but I've never seen a definite answer if it was possible to port. A portable Jagged Alliance 2 would be the best thing since Jagged Alliance 2 itself, which in turn was the best thing since the wheel. I would gladly pay full price for it too, as I'm sure others would.

But the question is, is it at all possible do you think?

By saying you would pay full price, are you implying that the game has no source released that could be used? Cause then it's hopeless... we can't port anything without source.

No, the source is available. I was saying I would pay full price to show how freakin' much I want this.

JA2 would have been swell, yes.
And where's the source code available from?

Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire comes packed with the source code for the original game.

EDIT:
Or from here:

And about the full price thing, obviously it wouldn't be legal to sell it as a commercial package. 'Twas more of an indicator of how much I wanted it. Nothing stops me from donating to whoever would start such a project though.

amazeing, but looks like much work, directx, msvc++, 64mb ram, 233mhz p2.....

dont get your hopes up, i doubt we will ever see that one.

well but if there is a source to the linux port,we don't have to deal with directX which makes the whole project seem more achievable. But the problem is still the requirements. Does it need a lot of float-point math???

I've seen lots of different requirements though. On gamespot it says 32mb ram, 133mhz pentium and 1mb vram for instance. I do know that I had a below minimum requirements when I bought it and it still worked pretty good.
Can't find my box anymore, so I don't know what it said.

The official site says:
a Pentium 133 or better, Windows 95/98, 32 MB of RAM, 16-bit capable video card, 2x CD-ROM drive and a Windows 95/98-compatible sound card

EDIT241654:
Here they're talking about source code that is 'make/gcc friendly'. I don't know what it means since I'm not a programmer, but maybe it's usefull?
