Hi !

I've never used usb networking ^^.

Afaik the big port is USB host only, and I think you need a host to host cable (like a cross-over cable) to network it with another computer using USB host.

The other port can be used with USB networking no problem with a standard mini-B to A cable. Lots of us do that.

Mmm.

I want to rely two OP... What do you suggest ?

I have the Nokia mini male to female, and also a cable with same connectors, but which doesn't work.

I'm not sure what you're saying.. is it that you want to USB network one Pandora to another? You should be able to connect the host of one to the OTG port of the other. Network Manager on the host should detect the device; go into its settings and select "Share to other computers." Then have it connect, and on the other Pandora get an IP over DHCP with sudo dhclient usb0 in a terminal.

Of course I only have one Pandora and haven't tried it so I don't know for sure that it'll work..

Ok, i see the bnep0.

But there's no "Share to other computers." option in NM.

I don't know if that would work, but you could try using a mini-B-to-A wire as well as a USB hub on the end to have more inputs/outputs; however I know that there is a limit concerning the energy given to that port, so a hub is likely to split into too small quantities. I doubt anything can break with that, so if you want you could try it, but it is probable that I be wrong.

I don't know about USB networking either, but if you just need 2 A USB ports, then this is how I'd try to do it.

I never ever used Bluetooth (so sorry if it's a stupid idea), but since the Pandora has it, and it's made to connect things, can't you connect two Pandoras via Bluetooth?

(That is what you want to do, right?)

Indeed. A peer to peer network.

I just bought another usb/rj45, so i can do it now the easy way.

I did the Mini to Normal usb, and had link at both sides between Angstrom (bnep0) and Slackware (ethtool confirmed), but even manuals settings didn't work.

I'm not a bluetooth man neither. My first BT devices were OP + iCP ^^.

If someone knows...

The real question should be if USB networking is possible on either port. I use a Linksys E4200 v2 router that has a 500gb

USB drive hooked up to it. All the PC's in our house can see the drive, but I have not as yet been able to bring up the

contents or even see it on my Pandora.

if you mean usb Ethernet adapter yes it's working, i have used a Wii usb Ethernet adapter clone (less price) and it work great between my PC and my Pandora

Usb network .. Yes, man of us do it all the time

Usb ethernet.. Yes

Usb drive mounting yes

Usb net with samba mount.. Yes, smb being in the codecpack

Ok. Great. Just what are the cmd(s) you are using for the Pandora?

Seems modprobe g_cdc is the answer.

May need to rmmod g_ether if loaded.

Have 2 usb cables between my 2 OP, and one subnet on each ^^. Too bad bonding isn't compiled in the official 3.2 kernel.

Hmmmmmm? I remember reading about that command in the discussion about the new kernal (which I have installed). Thanks for reminding me. I will have to look it up and see if that works....
