actually one can get an unoficial free launcher from either #gp32 or #gp32dev... which is indeed encoded for your gp32 and shows up in game menu just like the free launcher from www.gp32.com. Required steps are documented in faq.gp32emu.com
Sorry, no joy for stickofjoy. While that is the primary (and best if possible) method of getting freelauncher, due to the fact that gamepark's site is often down there is an IRC method available. You use a program to get your GP32's ID and freelauncher is encoded for that.
In case you're wondering about piracy, I'm not an expert and did not set the system up, but I believe that only freelauncher, windups and possibly one other piece of free software are available for encoding... it isn't just a technique to get commercial games illegally. It's a nice piece of work that has saved many people when gamepark's site is screwing up.
