Could not find this using search.

I have an 'old' 60GB ipod which is enabled for disc use.

Do you think it should be possible to use it as an external HD for a Pandora. It would not be for music, no itune requirements involved! Just simply as an external HD? Would specific drivers need to be written, or do you think it would be impossible?

The old ipod is too scratched too try and sell but if I could use it for pocketable storage on Pandora that woule be great. Cheers.

Hi,

Simple to know, take a linux live CD, put it into your computer and reboot the Windows....
Plug in your Ipod. Working ?
So it will probably work for the pandora, else good luck.

Cheers

i believe when you plug in an ipod to a computer that does not have itunes on it it just comes up as a USB (or fire wire) drive so it should work fine.

Great - thanks :) Want to use the old ipod to store my fav movies and tv shows to watch whenever I want on Pandora. I am always watching the same old movies and shows again and again!! (terminator, firefly, alien(s), x-files etc... etc)
