It's strange as the issue started with HOTFIX 6 .. then I upgradred reflashed it to new HF 7. Still it's not working, not sure whats going on. Some help would be aprishiated.

I can bearly run any pnd now.

There's a corrupt file on your SD card, most likely the PND you're trying to mount. When Windows detects a corrupt file, it lets you keep going; When Linux detects a corrupt file, it puts the file system into read only mode to prevent the corruption from getting worse. There's merit to both methods.

Run chkdsk in Windows or fsck in linux. There's a handy PND with a bunch of gui applications for file system manipulation but I forget what it is called off the top of my head.

After checking the disk, try deleting the PND and redownloading it.

Yeah, Thanks I ran my 32GB SDHC through win xp ScanDisk seem to have fixed it. Not sure what was bad with it though.

Sometimes SD cards just become corrupt. I never shut my BeagleBoard down, it runs strictly off an SD card, but ever 7 or 8 months it just starts acting weird on account of some libraries slowly becoming corrupt. I run a fsck on the card and opkg force install the corrupt libraries and it works fine again for another 7 or 8 months. Meanwhile I've never had this problem on my Pandora except when I'm doing something particularly dangerous with the file system.

It's probably just a sign of a less than perfect card. Used to store pictures or music or whatever you'd probably never notice: pictures are taken and quickly copied to your PC before corruption can occur and corrupt music files are just a tiny blip in the audio that you might not notice, but a compressed file (such as a PND) with a single byte of corruption becomes a completely unreadable file.
