Hi,
i'm asking if someone here has experience with installing Linux on a Lenovo laptop with UEFI. I bought a new Lenovo laptop (Thinkpad E540 to be specific) and had some weird issues under XUbuntu where it showed me an error message "Suspend/Resume failure" every time i boot up(!) the machine. I already tried the 3.15 kernel, but it didn't fix the problem.
A few days ago, i noticed that the Firmware was set to "Legacy boot". Now i'm wondering if Linux will work better if i install the Laptop in UEFI mode (Legacy boot off).
